Mind Vs Heart

Before few years I used to think that  Heart was just a physical organ of  the body and Mind was something abstract. Slowly I realized that there is much more to the Heart than its physical aspect.  I realized that at a subtle level Heart is the seat of emotions & feelings and Mind is birthplace of thoughts & logic. I became more aware of  the differences between the two. I have penned down few differences, you are welcome to add more

Mind thrives on thoughts………….and………….the Heart on feelings…

Mind has cravings…………..and ……………the Heart has longings…

Mind seeks pleasure ……………and..…..the Heart longs for love….

Mind seeks the new ………….and………. the Heart longs for the old….

Mind has doubts …………..and……….the Heart blossoms in faith ….

Mind breeds arguments ………. and……. the Heart wants acceptance …

Mind criticizes…………and ……….the Heart appreciates….

Mind analyses …………….and…….. the Heart understands…

Mind gives logic ………….and……… the Heart gives wisdom….

Mind divides ……….. and……. the Heart unites ….

Mind sees through senses ……….. and…… the Heart goes beyond senses…

Mind wants change ………and…….. the Heart seeks the unchanging TRUTH……

Mind has deceived me so many times……promising happiness…. somewhere in future ……

and the Heart has saved me so many times giving Peace, Contentment, & Happiness in the Now!!!
