Art of Living Secrets

Life from a cocoon to a beautiful Butterfly

Have you noticed that nature has an ingrained quality to teach? From the largest mammal to the smallest bee, there is an intuitive quality to follow the principles of life which is already established.

The wonder never ceases as to how a caterpillar selects the perfect place to weave a cocoon, a bird knows when and in which direction to migrate, a tiny seed buried deep under the earth sprouts to life in spring. It’s inspiring to see that nature works in the most subtle manner as if an invisible force is choreographing this eternal dance. We as human beings, are also part of this dance troupe, having superior intellect, yet we have managed to complicate our life and somewhere on the way lost our connection with nature and fail to recognize its vast potential. Where is it all leading to?..a need for a teacher who can sensitize us to the immense potential that each one of us have within us and understand the real purpose of life.

Many laugh at the idea of following somebody. Our ego, wealth, ignorance do not allow us to believe that somebody can really help unravel the mystique of life. The orient has always had a system of master and disciple and the tradition continues even now, of course, with some changes. I came across one such master when I began my search to find out answers to my problems.I was clueless and confused.

Over the years, I have found very subtle but significant change in the way I see myself and my surroundings. I react less and respond more, and have found my pool of tranquility amidst chaos, which keeps me centered and aware. Yes, it is true my friends…I can now smile & sail through my problems. It sounds like magic and this journey has not been less magical for me too. It has been possible because of one person…Poojya Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji, lovingly addressed as “Gurudev”. Call him by any name,be it a guru, a yogi, or spiritual guide, he is the best life coach one can ever get. He does not give any sermons nor does he promises the moon but still you will find people from all across the globe eager to hear him speak, tell him their problems ,or just to have a glimpse of him. What is it that makes this one man so endearing to the people of all cultures, boundaries and languages?

Thirty-four years ago, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji has started a non- profit organization with a very interesting name called The Art of Living. Yes!! Art of living is, what the modern generation needs to learn. Regular programs are conducted by the Art of Living certified teachers.

The program is not about learning but unlearning and experiencing the life.It helps you to come out of unconstructive habits and avoid negative thought process. The clarity that one gets during the program, opens the eyes towards the bliss of simple, easy and happy living. You will also learn a powerful breathing technique known as Sudarshan Kriya, which is the highlight of the Art of Living program, designed by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji himself. Many have felt transformed after the first experience of Sudarshan Kriya.Continuing this practice over a period of time has brought about several changes in the physical as well as psychological level of people.

NASA astronauts are trained in Sudarshan Kriya, World Health Organization (WHO) has acknowledged the process and All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) has also recognized Sudarshan Kriya as a technique to reduce pain and depression in patients.

I continue to reap the benefits of my regular practice and keep discovering the better side of me. To cross this ocean called life, don’t you not need a guru, a guide and a friend?
